Ningo-Prampram MP, Sam George bans Kuami Eugene from Hearts vs.Kotoko game
Accra Hearts of Oak are expected to face arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko on match day 31 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium and tensions are high for the top spot on the league table.
Member of parliament for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Sam Nartey George has called on the management of Accra Hearts of Oak football club to ban the planned live performance by musician Kuami Eugene on Sunday.
Accra Hearts of Oak belongs to the fans. We say we do not want Kwami Eugene to perform at our stadium on Sunday. He can perform at Baba Yara before they leave Kumasi or perform on their team bus but at our Accra Sports Stadium di3r, make them forget kraa. End of discussion.🔴🔵🟡

Adding his voice to the trend, the outspoken law maker took to his Twitter page to share his displeasure at the decision of allowing Kuami Eugene perform to the crowd before kick-off.
“Accra Hearts of Oak belongs to the fans. We say we do not want Kuami Eugene to perform at our stadium on Sunday” parts of the post read.
This certainly did not go down well with some fans of the rockstar who came under the comments section to hurl missiles at the honourable.
However, Sam George also known as ‘Dzata’ did not back down but defended his statement through another post he made.
He questioned “All those saying contract and all, can show me where in the Adonko contact it say Kuami Eugene must perform at games? is the sponsor not interested in the ticket sales? Did the ticket not sell in less than an hour? Who says we need musical performance for profit?”

No one could really tell the motive behind such posts from the MP but people are also saying the game of football must be enjoyed the traditional way.
Unconfirmed reports making rounds suggests that management of Kuami Eugene have cancelled the slated performance after several consultations with the artist.
