Do not center writing your songs on sex always” – Akwaboah to Musicians
Akwaboah Jnr, has built a strong brand in the music industry as one of the great song writers and has since been respected for his craft and performances.
Akwaboah Jnr, in an interview added that sex is not the only thing musicians can talk about in their songs.
And for one whose songs are aimed at longevity, Akwaboah is worried about the kind of songs current musicians are churning out and is asking what legacy they are leaving behind.
Akwaboah Jnr, who is a former signee of Sarkcess Music, in his recent interview on Kingdom Plus 101.9FM with Fiifi Pratt, urged musicians to cultivate the habit of talking about many other topics in their music aside from sex.

According to him, the music industry nowadays is not about quality music rather sex. He further stated that if you look hard enough there are huge amounts of music about different things and some just talk about nothing.
He added by saying;
“Why can’t our music stand the test of time lately? Why do we still jam to songs from Amakye Dede, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba but our songs expire five to six months after their release?
“The way things are going, I wonder the kind of legacy we are living behind for the younger generation who want to do music,” he told Graphic Showbiz.
Giving his view about what could account for this trend, Akwaboah explained that a lot of musicians did not care about the production aspect of their songs and were only interested in its trending.
Akwaboah stated that although he understands people who like to listen which talks about sex it shouldn’t be encouraged.
