A full compliment of interim board members has now been constituted to run the “GAPI”association pending the election of a substantive board.
This was after a General meeting was held in Kumasi on 15th July,2021 at Golden Tulip.
The following persons were nominated
1. Paul Gee
2. Kwasi Chika
3. Mariam Owoahene music
from the northern sector with Ashanti region in particular
Irrespective of heavy downpour, members braved the odds to attend the meeting with zeal and enthusiasm due to a long vacuum created by the expired mandate of the current board
The current Board’s mandate expired over four years ago and have not been proactive to execute their constitutional mandate to hold elections for a substantive board as has been the normal practice
The chairman of the meeting Nana ASA popularly known as Agiecoat thanked the members for the confidence reposed in him and his colleagues and promised to steer the affairs of the association as the constitution requires in a fair and transparent manner.
He pledged to work with the old executives and will also engage with all stakeholders, government and affiliate bodies in the creative arts sector to fashion out strategies that will benefit the members
