Rocky Dawuni’s “Branches of the Same Tree” listed in Songline Magazine Top 10 Roots Reggae Album Essentials
Ghanaian Afro-Roots reggae artiste Rocky Dawuni’s Grammy Awards nominated album, ‘Branches of the Same Tree’ has been included in Songline Magazine‘s top 10 roots reggae album essentials.
“Ghanaian singer Rocky Dawuni’s uplifting ballads are soaked in a haze of Brazilian percussion, rich grooves, and New Orleans-stlye rhythm. His rendition of ‘Get Up, Stand Up’ has distinctly African pulse, mixing highlife and roots” Witer, Clyde Macfarlane said about the album.
